Amy was frustrated by the inefficiencies of the out-of-date, paper-based process used to arrange Mental Health Act assessments, a process identified as a leading cause of delay to assessment by the Association of Directors of Social Services (ADASS) in 2018. After researching the problem in other areas of the country, Amy set about finding a digital solution and in 2017 S12 Solutions was created.
The app and website is a planning and communication tool which has been designed to support the AMHP and section 12 doctor workforce in the mental health crisis care pathway.
S12 Solutions supports 7,000+ users and works with 75-80% of England’s Mental Health Trusts.
S12 Solutions is NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA), Clinical Entrepreneur programme and DigitalHealth.London Accelerator alumni. S12 Solutions was also one of only two healthtech companies ever selected for NHS England’s Innovation and Technology Payment Evidence Generation Fund. S12 Solutions is also part of G-Cloud 13, has ISO 9001 and 27001 accreditations and is a Platinum Investors in People organisation.
