Senior Developer responsibilities:

Senior Developers will take ownership of delivering major functionality, from requirements gathering and technical design, to delivery and support. They will be trusted to make important decisions, and effectively manage technical investments, to meet immediate and strategic goals. Successful candidates do not need to join with all requisite skills but should have a technical foundation to deep dive into any area.

  • Work on all aspects of software design and coding in line with business strategy
  • Listen to customer feedback and use this information to design and develop software features for existing and upcoming products
  • Work with the software development team to support our existing product range
  • Program in a team environment and help other team members with task completion
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle including requirements gathering, estimation, development, QA testing, and deployment

Qualifications and experience:

We are looking for Developers who are interested in learning and working with the following core technologies:

  • React
  • React Native
  • TypeScript
  • GraphQL
  • GitHub
  • Jest, or other testing libraries
  • AWS Serverless, including Lambda, S3, Cloudwatch, Cloudtrail, IAM, Elasticsearch, Amplify, AppSync, CloudFormation, Codebuild and event messaging (SQS, SNS, EventBridge)

Applicants should be comfortable learning many of the above technologies on the job. They should have solid foundations necessary to pick up new skills. Senior Developers coming from a background in another language (Java, C#, Python) are welcome to apply.

Delivery & Account Manager opportunities

Locations: East of England (East London, East Anglia) and the North of England
A mix of home and office-based working, with regular trips to visit your Sites, in line with government guidance

DAMs are responsible for making sure that S12 Solutions’ implementation runs smoothly and developing a positive, productive relationship with our Sites. With many more Sites planning to implement S12 Solutions in 2021, we have several opportunities available with our Delivery & Account Management team.

DAM responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with our health and social partners
  • Working with each Site to tailor the implementation framework to their needs and then leading the implementation process
  • Leading system set-up, configuration and training remotely; project meetings and training may take place on-site again in future, in line with government guidance
  • Acting as your Sites’ single point of contact, liaising with the relevant people internally to find answers to queries
  • Proactively identifying any issues and leveraging internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution
  • Monitoring and then discussing Site performance and strategies for improvement
  • Identifying potential new services, and working with your colleagues to develop ideas, provide quotations and develop plans to implement changes
  • Other ad-hoc tasks as the business requires, such as attending exhibitions and meetings

How will you know you are performing well in your role?

  • The platform will be launched in your account Sites as per the implementation plan and on schedule
  • Your account stakeholders will be pleased with the process and ongoing performance
  • Issues will be resolved efficiently
  • Your account stakeholders will perceive you as a trusted partner
  • You’ll understand the local environment of the accounts you manage
  • The stakeholder network from organisations in each account area (such as the AHSN Network) will know who you are

Essential skills 

  • Account management experience, ideally in a health or social care environment
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Experience of leading projects from initiation to completion across multiple accounts/Sites simultaneously
  • A flexible, can-do approach
  • Cultural sensitivity and change management knowledge
  • Willingness to learn – a growth mindset
  • Completer-finisher approach
  • When government guidelines allow, able to travel around the country and stay away from home as required by the business
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable skills 

  • Experience engaging with customers at ICS/CCG/Mental Health Trust/Local authority organisations
  • A project management qualification
  • Training experience with a software or a mental health product/service
  • Previous work experience or an interest in mental health and/or health/social care
